Recently of the 8th and 9th of September, the International  Neuromodulation Society held it’s annual meeting for the Chinese Neuromodulation Society in Beijing. Though there were many highlight moments in the event, the most captivating on was the speech given by the President of Honor with the title “Smartphone Innovations in the Age of 5G”. Yes, the lecture as well, especially when the CEO of Honor revealed they are ready to launch their first 5G Smartphone soon in 2019.

With this, Honor also joins the fast-growing list of OEMs like Xiaomi, OPPO, ZTE, Huawei, Lenovo and Samsung, who all are ready to launch their 5G devices in 2019 as well. Though Mr. Zhao has not given any particular date, still expectations are in for a release at the beginning of 2019. It’s definitely a major move for the company that is very popular in the U.S and other countries compared to brands like Samsung, Apple, Google etc. However, the launch of a 5G device from Honor is not much of a surprise, after all, it’s parent company is Huawei who is at the forefront of the 5G technology infrastructure development.

For those new to the term ‘5G’ well its the term used for the next mobile technology that will have the ability to download and stream movies with high bandwidths for technologies like virtual reality. This will also bring immense changes in the development of Al. This technology will definitely help in the consumer application side, but it is also going to be a big help in connecting cities infrastructure and in adopting drive-less cars as well. As per a report released by lHS Markit that powers 5G projects are to power a $12.3 trillion global economic output, that expected by 2035.
