It’s most gamer’s ambition to collect everything in a game, and Horizon: Zero Dawn is no exception. Finding everything in Horizon: Zero Dawn, however, can prove to be a daunting task. It’s especially difficult because it can help players level up Aloy’s abilities, making her stronger against an ever-growing robot nemesis. Although one way to upgrade Aloy’s abilities is through collecting Metal Flowers, the best way to effectively upgrade Aloy’s gear is to collect the elusive Banuk Figures.
The Banuk Figures have the appearance of small Grazers. These figures are generally made out of fabric, straw, and sticks, and a total of six figures exists within the game. Each figure will require players to climb a good distance up various mountains in order to find them. These figures are rumored to be created by the legendary Banuk hunter, Arnak, who was exiled for killing his chief. Arnak created these figures as a message to his son, Tektuk, and placed the figures in different locations to remind Tektuk of his homeland. Each figure can be located amongst elaborate geometric paintings that Arnak created.
The primary difference between the Banuk figures and the Metal Flowers is the number of rewards. The Banuk Figures give players twice the rewards that the Metal Flowers would, making them the better choice in collecting-and-upgrading gear. However, having so many things to search for has made Horizon: Zero Dawn one of the best PS4 franchises.
In order to locate each Banuk figure, it’s pivotal that players purchase the map from the merchant near the Main Embrace gate. The price for the map is 8 metal shards, 1 rich meat, and 1 fatty meat. Although the map doesn’t show the exact locations of each figure, it’s still beneficial to have the map on hand. Each Banuk figure is divided up and identified by different names. This makes it easier for players to locate each figure.
My Claim in Horizon: Zero Dawn
The first Banuk figure is to the northeast of Devil’s Thirst camp. Exit the camp and head up the mountain until you see Banuk artwork along the walls. The artwork should work as a guide to help players find the appropriate place to climb up. The climbing area around here can be difficult to spot but, once found, it should not take Aloy long to reach the top of the mountain. Here, players will find the first figure waiting to be collected.
I Name You in Horizon: Zero Dawn
The next Banuk figure is located to the north of Hunter’s Gathering. When searching for this figure, it’s important to approach the figure’s location from the village itself. The village works as an anchor point in searching for this figure. Climb the pole int he north-west corner of the village. Once at the top, climb the wall until Aloy is on her feet again. Move past the zip line and tint the mountains to continue climbing up. It’s a long climb and some sections will take longer than others. Players will then move all the way around the mountainside. Players will know that the climbing is complete when Aloy is standing next to the Banuk figure.
Punishment in Horizon: Zero Dawn
This Banuk figure is located east of the Banuk Encampment in the northeastern area of the map. Head towards the Banuk Encampment, then head up the side of the snowy cliffs to the east. The figure is located under a large painting on the rocks, just like the My Claim artifact. To ensure the easiest climb up, players should approach the figure from the south. It’ll be easier to climb the snowy pass this way.
I Cannot Confess in Horizon: Zero Dawn
To find this Banuk figure, players should head back towards Meridian. The best place for players to start would be by the campfire to the west of Meridian. The campfire sits on top of a cliff, so be sure to head towards the Banuk slowly, but do not go down the cliff. Instead, there should be a rope that is visible by the figure. Jump down towards where the end of the rope is located, which should be closer to the cliff players were walking along. Walk across the road to find this Banuk figure. By walking carefully this way, players can bypass the need to climb anything.
The Vision in Horizon: Zero Dawn
The Banuk Figure: The Vision is located just south of Sunfall, or northwest of Rustwash Tallneck. The figure is in the mountains between the Valley of Omens and the campfire south of Sunfall. Head down the path past Tramplers and Broadhead’s areas. The area Aloy is looking for is just beyond a massive archway that crosses the path. From there, players will notice a pole and several rocks that are marked by Banuk paintings. Climb to the top of the pole to find the Banuk figure.
Mother in Horizon: Zero Dawn
This figure will take players to the most northern part of the math, just south of Pitchcliff. One of the fastest ways to find this figure is to locate it on the map. From there, head towards the nearest campfire which should be southwest of the figure. The past to the top is hidden along the cliffs and there are several enemies in the area, so be wary as you approach the cliffs.
Players will notice that there are a lot of rocks on some mountains that have Banuk paintings. Walk towards the paintings and start climbing the nearby cliff. If players climb up and to the right, the Banuk figure can be found fairly quickly. Just be careful climbing up.
The Banuk figures work as a way to give Aloy more shards and modification boxes. For every two Banuk Figures given to the merchant in Meridian, Aloy will receive 500 shards and 5 modification boxes. Although the modification boxes are randomized and players won’t know what is in them, these modifications can help enhance Aloy’s weapons and armor. It is definitely worth the search to find these figures to easily upgrade Aloy’s stats. This will give players an advantage over the difficult quests and battles that lie ahead. And remember to save after finding each Banuk figure. If players don’t reach a checkpoint or save, all this climbing and work will be for nothing.
