How To Get Stock Android On The Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro

You will have to place your device in Developer Mode. This is found under Settings. However, if you have a new phone, it is unlikely this mode would have been activated, so you will have to activate it from Developer Options, which are found just above the About Phone section. If you cannot see it, relax, getting it is easy. To get Developer Options, select About Phone, and then go to Version Information.

On the Version Information page you will see a section titled Software version number. No, don’t bother memorising it – just tap it quickly six or seven times in succession. You should see a small message pop up momentarily telling you are in developer mode (it is very momentary, so we were not able to capture it). Now head back to the Settings and NOW you will see Developer Options above About Phone.

Select Developer Options, and then turn on Developer Options by tapping the button next to it (it is switched off by default). You will get a message warning you of the consequences of allowing Developer Settings. As you are not planning anything radical (we hope), just tap OK. Then go back to the page and tap on Switch system UI style.

No, there’s no way you can switch to stock Android without a reboot, so go right ahead and say OK. That’s it, you are done. The phone will reboot in stock Android. If you want to get back to the Vibe UI, follow the same route. You won’t need to activate Developer Options (that is just a one-time excercise). Just go to Developer Options (it will be there this time), choose Switch system UI style, and tap on the button at the base, which will now read ‘Switch to Lenovo UI.’
